The insect series continues. This time, Yoshikazu KAJIKAWA turns his gaze to the Japanese stag beetle — the Ōkuwagata — a creature of extraordinary power and prehistoric elegance.

Every leg, every joint, every curve of its formidable mandibles has been rendered with meticulous care through his signature technique, Semi 3D Yoshikazu Artworks — building form layer by layer until the beetle seems to breathe. Like the armor of a samurai, it commands the eye with quiet, unmistakable authority.

The deep crimson that floods the background is no mere color — it is the fire of the Sengoku Period, the burning resolve of warriors who lived and died by the blade. At the composition's heart, a circle of warm wood grain emerges: an emblem of the Japanese spirit, enduring and unbroken.

Adorning the beetle's body, red plum blossom (Kōbai) blazes with a passion that white plum cannot match. Where white plum speaks of purity, red plum burns with life — its color the very shade of courage, its fragrance as fierce as the warriors of the age it represents.

かねてよりご要望をいただいておりました昆虫シリーズ、今作では日本が誇る「オオクワガタ」を主役に据えました。

精緻な脚の一本一本、そして鋭くしなやかな大顎——昆虫が持つ複雑な構造美を、**半立体色彩画（よしかづ画法）**によって余すことなく描き出しました。その姿はまるで、戦場を駆け抜けた武者の甲冑のごとく、威厳と迫力に満ちております。

深紅に染まった背景は、戦国の世に燃え上がる炎と、武人たちの熱き血潮を象徴しております。その中心に据えた円は、揺るぎない意志と、日本という国の魂そのものです。

そして、オオクワガタの身を飾るのは「紅梅」。白梅が清廉な美しさを持つとすれば、紅梅はより情熱的で、生命の力強さに溢れた花です。戦国を生き抜いた武人の、燃えるような意志と重なります。

Responding to long-standing requests to explore the world of insects, Yoshikazu KAJIKAWA presents this striking portrayal of the Japanese rhinoceros beetle — one of nature's most formidable creatures.
Capturing the complex anatomy of an insect posed a profound artistic challenge. Through his signature technique, Semi 3D Yoshikazu Artworks — a distinctive method of semi-dimensional painting that builds form and color into sculptural relief — KAJIKAWA brings the beetle's raw power and vitality to vivid, tactile life.
The beetle's silhouette evokes the armor of a samurai warrior. 　かねてよりご要望をいただいておりました昆虫を題材に、今回は日本のカブトムシを制作いたしました。
昆虫の身体表現は非常に難しい課題でしたが、独自の**半立体色彩画（ヨシカズ画法）**によって、その力強さと生命感を表現いたしました。

　昆虫の姿は、武者の甲冑を彷彿とさせます。よって、背景に配した「日の丸」は、戦国時代の張り詰めた空気と勇壮な精神をイメージしております。たくましく、誇り高き日本の時代の象徴として描きました。
　また、戦国の花として「白梅」を添えております。桜よりも花びらが厚く、香りも力強い梅の花は、凛として美しく、戦国を生きた武人の魂にふさわしい花であると考えました。

　カブトムシの角は、しっかりと浮き上がるよう立体的に表現しております。ぜひ、側面からもご覧いただけますと、この作品の奥行きと迫力をより一層お楽しみいただけます。
