化石は、本来は無機質な「石」です。
本作は、その対極にある「植物」との融合を試みた作品となっています。
モチーフは、ティラノサウルスの頭部の化石です。
化石の質感を表現するため、積層面には独自の模様を施し、長い時の流れと地層の重なりを感じさせる表情を生み出しています。
一方で、化石の周囲からは植物が四方八方へと伸び広がります。
それは真円ではなく、時間の流れや生命の営みを象徴するように、自由で有機的な広がりを見せています。
高原に咲く花のように可憐な小花が、作品の中で穏やかに咲き誇り、無機質と生命の対比をやわらかく繋いでいます。
また、石面の質感をより豊かに表現するために、表層には繊細な模様を描き込み、自然の造形美と時間の重みを併せて表現しています。
Tyrannosaurus Fossil — Harmony of Stone and Life
A fossil, by its nature, is an inorganic stone—silent, static, and ancient.
In this work, I sought to merge that stillness with its complete opposite: living plants.
The motif is the fossilized skull of a Tyrannosaurus rex.
To capture the layered texture of the fossil, I applied intricate patterns across its surface, evoking the passage of deep time and the quiet accumulation of geological strata.
Around the fossil, plants extend outward in every direction—not in perfect symmetry, but with the organic rhythm of life itself.
Their irregular growth mirrors the flow of time and the persistence of vitality that endures through change.
Delicate blossoms, reminiscent of alpine flowers, bloom gently within the composition—bridging the contrast between the inorganic and the living with quiet grace.
To enrich the stony surface, I layered fine patterns that express both the beauty of natural form and the weight of time itself.
