食卓やダイニングで目にする、日常生活に寄り添うものをモチーフに描く「テーブル シリーズ」。
今回は、どこか懐かしい昔ながらのイワシ缶から、巨大な「ジンベイザメ」が勢いよく飛び出す瞬間を描きました。プルタブを引いた瞬間——缶の中に広がっていたのは、果てしない深海でした。
The Table Series draws its subjects from the quiet, familiar objects of everyday life — the things that share our meals, our kitchens, our dining tables.
This work imagines a moment of impossible wonder: a vintage sardine tin, the kind that has sat in pantries for generations, split open to reveal not fish — but the open ocean. From within its humble walls, a whale shark surges upward, vast and unhurried, carrying with it the full weight of the deep sea.
Pull back the tab. The world inside is infinite.
小さな缶という日常の器が、地球最大の魚を飲み込んでいたとしたら。そんな、現実と空想の境界が溶け合う不思議な世界を、この一枚に込めています。
**半立体色彩画（よしかづ画法）**による重ね塗りで、ジンベイザメの体表に刻まれた模様と量感をしっかりと表現しております。側面からご覧いただくと、缶から飛び出す立体感をより一層お楽しみいただけます。
Through his signature technique, Semi 3D Yoshikazu Artworks, KAJIKAWA renders the whale shark’s patterned skin in rich, layered relief — each marking built stroke by stroke until the creature seems to breathe. Viewers are invited to step to the side, where the figure rises dramatically from the surface, and the full sense of scale and emergence comes alive.
This is a work about the extraordinary hidden within the ordinary — the ocean that lives, quietly, inside a can.
